(San Jose, May 18th) — As many of you may have heard, Banana recently became Independant from Pear Inc.
Following recent reports regarding the transition, we want to formally address our future path and certain company divisions. Despite moving forward as an independent company, Banana will continue to maintain a strong & collaborative relationship with Pear Inc. Executives from both companies have talked regarding the future of our companies, ensuring that this new chapter benefits both brands and our communities.
Restructuring & Migrations
To operate in a way to succeed and meet our goals, we have to make the following adjustments, which are effective immediately:
Verwire Acquisition: Verwire, which previously operated under Pear Inc., has officially been transitioned and will now operate entirely under Banana Inc.
Pear Entertainment Continuity: Pear Entertainment will remain under the Pear Inc. umbrella. It will continue to be jointly owned and managed by Banana’s CEO and Pear’s CEO, maintaining the leadership structure that has driven its success since the beginning.
Media Migration: As Banana establishes its independent digital footprint, Banana Inc. video content, like events and advertisements, will begin a gradual migration off the Pear Entertainment YouTube channel onto dedicated Banana platforms. (Which you can find if you scroll to the footer of our website)
Marketing Terms and Product Partnerships: The Banana & Pear Card will be renamed to the Banana Card, as Pear will be focusing less on the tech company & more on the musical company, Pear Entertainment. Speaking of Music, technologies and trademarks like AuralSphere by Pear, which provide surround sound to the platform, will continue to be used on Banana Music under an Exclusive Deal with Pear. Both the Banana Card & Banana Music will continue to be updated on Pear platforms.
This evolution marks an exciting milestone in our nearly four-year history since November 2022, when Pear Inc bought Banana Inc. We are deeply grateful to the team at Pear Inc for believing in us from the very start. Thank you.
We also announced today that we will have an interview with oNews on June 1st. More information on that later. This marks the first interview with them since August 2023.
